One of the best summertime pleasures is getting some sun. Among many other beneficial effects, it boosts our energy and vitality and helps our bodies make vitamin D. However, if the right precautions are not performed, the sun’s rays could cause major skin damage.

Here are some suggestions for avoiding injuries while enjoying the sun:

  • When the sun is at its brightest, between 10 AM and 4 PM, stay out of its UV rays.
  • Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going outside and make sure it has a factor of at least 15. If feasible, reapply every two hours.
  • You can forget to apply sunscreen to some areas, such as your shoulders, neck, and the tips of your feet.
  • Even in cloudy weather, use sunscreen.
  • Avoid using any scents or other products that contain alcohol to prevent staining your skin.
  • To avoid dry skin, drink plenty of water and moisturize your skin.

You will be able to fully enjoy your summer if you follow these rules!
