Many members of younger generations are donning Y2K fashion. Y2K, what is that? It makes reference to the year 2000, which was characterized by glitter, loud accessories, athletics, crop tops, exposed underwear, and unusually LOW rise jeans (Y=year; 2K=2000).
Influencers on Instagram and TikTok, as well as well-known people like Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Dua Lipa, among others, all contributed significantly to the return of this millennial generation’s favorite trend.
Despite being one of the season’s most powerful trends, there is a lot of debate about it among fashion connoisseurs, with some embracing it and others battling it to the death (figuratively).
Do you still dress in Y2K style or do you dislike it?
